Air Support Just Holds off Favorite Banned to win the 2011 Virginia Derby!

Paddy O' Prado Wins again in the $400,000 Secretariat Stakes at Arlington Park on August 21

Paddy O' Prado won for the 3rd Consectutive time Saturday at Arlington Park. Again He showed an Incredible late kick to win the $400,000 Stakes Race easily.

Paddy O'Prado Really Likes Virginia. A month after capturing the $500,000 Colonial Turf Cup, He was back to take the $600,000 14th running of the Virginia Derby. Last time Paddy stalked on the rail and swung outside to win, this time Hall of Fame Jockey Kent Desormeaux placed him at the back of the pack for most of the race. Then about half way down the final stretch, Desormeaux found room on the inside and blew by other horses to take the lead. Interactif tried a bid on the outside, but Paddy wasnt having it as he held on to win in front of almost 8,000 cheering fans. And now just a month later August 21, he prevails again in Arlington. Im sure he may have one more prep race ,Romans said his charge’s next goal will be the Joe Hirsch Turf Classic (gr. IT) Oct. 2 at Belmont Park, a race that should set him up for the Breeders’ Cup Turf (gr. IT) Nov.6 at Churchill Downs. He is going to be fun to watch come Breeder's Cup day!
